Hollywood has been at war with conservatives for decades.
Movies and television shows are heavily slanted toward a liberal point-of-view and demonize any ideals that run counter.
Despite this near left-wing monopoly, the pro-Trump Roseanne revival exploded as ratings success, but it’s all over after one shocking tweet.
Comedian Roseanne Barr is never afraid to speak her mind and stir the pot. Despite a deluge of backlash, Barr expressed unabashed support for President Donald Trump while virtually all of her colleagues constantly do the opposite.
However, her quick tongue buried her in a heap of trouble. Barr, the daughter of Jewish immigrants, is no fan of Barack Obama’s former cabinet member and top advisor Valerie Jarrett.
Jarrett recently defended Tamika Mallory, one of the leaders of the far-left Women’s March, regarding her affiliation with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.
Minister Farrakhan is a raving anti-Semite who’s called Jews “dogs” and said, “Hitler was a good man.”
Barr attacked Jarrett on social media with a racist tweet that effectively ended her career:
While Barr’s tweet is indefensible, ABC/Disney executives have delineated a clear double standard for those they like and those they don’t.
Barr immediately apologized for the inappropriate joke, but her show was canceled within the blink of an eye.
Meanwhile, the company recently rehired unhinged commentator Keith Olbermann who has one of the most pronounced cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome on record.
Olbermann coined himself, leader of the #Resistance on his short-lived train wreck of a web series for GQ, then penned an angry book called “Trump Is F***ing Crazy.” And in his ample spare time, he constantly curses Trump and compares him to Nazis.
Democrats have been flippantly and dangerously comparing Republicans to Hitler since the 1960s, but Olbermann takes his ranting to a pathological level with tweets (too vulgar to repeat here) that would read like serial killer letters if pixels were replaced by magazine clippings.
Nevertheless, in light of Olbermann’s well-documented instability and abrasiveness, Disney felt it prudent to hire Olbermann for a third time.
What’s even more troubling is ABC’s complete disregard for liberal late-nite darling Jimmy Kimmel’s problematic past.
Kimmel has been dubbed by some as America’s conscience for regurgitating Chuck Schumer’s talking points with a tear in his eye and a warble in his voice.
However, not all that long ago, Kimmel lampooned basketball player Karl Malone by making fun of his speech patterns while performing in blackface.
Flashback: Jimmy Kimmel
Kimmel cannot claim ignorance because performing in blackface has been understood to be wildly inappropriate and racist for decades.
Kimmel was also forced to apologize to Sean Hannity after making homophobic remarks.
This isn’t to suggest that Kimmel should be fired for his actions, but it’s illustrative of the double standard at the network, and the film and television industry more broadly.
If the perpetrator is a leftist and the target is a conservative, all is forgiven. When the roles are reversed, a pound of flesh must be taken.
For example, comedian Chelsea Handler suffered absolutely zero backlash for calling Stacey Dash and Dr. Ben Carson “black white supremacists…who think white people are better than them,” which is disgustingly offensive.
While Roseanne’s comment was terrible, her true crime wasn’t what she tweeted, it was daring to express support about Donald Trump.
