Hollywood stars have become insufferable.
The Hollywood elites detest President Trump’s administration and like to push their moral intelligence on everyone in the same breath.
But one A-list actress just revealed something about her childhood that proves their hypocrisy.
Education, or lack thereof, doesn’t define someone’s intelligence.
We all know that.
Albert Einstein struggled in academics during his adolescent years and was a clerk when he discovered the theory of relativity.
But all Hollywood elitists believe themselves to be some of the most highly intellect people in the world.
Jennifer Lawrence has become Hollywood’s sweetheart in recent years, much like Julia Roberts in the 1990’s.
She’s a quirky girl who makes funny comments, and that’s her modus operandi.
But Lawrence just admitted that she dropped out of middle school and “self-educated herself” from there.
Which tells you all you need to know about the anti-Trump actress.
Fox News reports:
“Jennifer Lawrence is a lot of things — an Oscar-winner, a bona fide movie star, an outspoken advocate for women — but she isn’t a high school graduate.
“I dropped out of middle school,” the “Red Sparrow” star, 27, revealed to ’60 Minutes” in a segment airing Sunday.
“I don’t technically have a GED or a diploma. I am self-educated.”
She explained, “I struggled through school. I never felt very smart.
And when I’m reading the script and I feel like I know exactly what it would look like if somebody felt that way, that was a whole part of my brain that I didn’t even know existed, something I could be confident in, and I didn’t want to let it go.”
Lawrence firmly denied having any regret for dropping out of junior high because it paved the way for her mega-stardom today.
“I wanted to forge my own path,” she said.
“I found what I wanted to do and I didn’t want anything getting in the way of it. Even friends, for many years, were not as important to me as my career.”
Lawrence previously spoke of her lack of education in a 2013 Vanity Fair profile, but called herself “vastly uneducated” at the time rather than “self-educated.”
The problem isn’t that she’s self-educated.
Again, education is subjective and can come from anywhere.
The difference is that Lawrence touts herself as being a moral authority. And now she wants to take a year off of acting so she can “fix our democracy.”
“I’m going to take the next year off,” Lawrence told Entertainment Tonight, “I’m going to be working with this organization I’m a part of: Represent.Us. It’s just trying to get young people engaged politically on a local level.”
She claims her activism work will have nothing to do with partisan politics.
“It’s just anti-corruption and stuff trying to pass state-by-state laws that can help prevent corruption, fix our democracy. And then I don’t know what I’m doing next.”
Whether you like her acting or not, it doesn’t mean she needs to condescend to you about what she knows, especially if her highest formal education is only up to middle-school.
