The smugness and hypocrisy of Democrats seems to know no bounds.
Leftist love to portray themselves as loving, compassionate, and tolerant people who are simply looking for harmony.
But Hollywood director Rob Reiner showed Democrats’ true colors with one horrific statement about Republicans.
Director Rob Reiner, son of famed Hollywood impresario Carl Reiner, first rose to notoriety as an actor on “All in the Family.”
On the show, Reiner played a character named Meathead, which is an apt description of Reiner today.
Reiner is a wild leftist who trades in conspiracy theories. He also believes that people who oppose unfettered illegal immigration are terrified of the “browning of America.”
That is an asinine claim, as evidenced by the gradual growth of support for Donald Trump among black people and Latinos.
A recent poll showed Trump received a 10-point bump among Hispanic Americans in the wake of the detention policy on the southern border.
Now Reiner is going straight for the jugular. In a tweet, he said any vote for a Republican is a vote to end democracy in the United States.
Let’s be clear. At this point in our history, a vote for a republican is a vote for institutional racism, sexism and a vote to enable the destruction of Democracy. To Democrats: VOTE! To principled Republicans: VOTE DEMOCRATIC!

This type of disgusting hyperbole is a nasty tactic the left has used for years. They label every single Republican presidential candidate a Nazi, then rehabilitate that figure when it’s time to label the next GOP candidate a Nazi.
That same scare tactic has begun to lose effectiveness, which is why Democrats and their mouthpiece — the mainstream media — are ratcheting up the apocalyptic rhetoric.
They can’t convince people to vote for them based on policy, so they whip people into a frenzy in hopes of eking out elections.
Sadly, the left seems intent on starting a civil war. They want people that they disagree on policy with to be shouted down in public and driven out of restaurants and movie theaters.
However, they aren’t fans when the same fascistic strategy is used against them. Maxine Waters recently implored people to harass Republicans everywhere you find them, but recoiled when the tactic was deployed in kind.
If people with differing viewpoints can’t dine in the same restaurants, the only outcomes are segregation, or an ugly battle for single-party rule.
Neither option is acceptable, but it appears that’s what the left wants.
Furthermore, Reiner’s actual claims are nonsensical. The “Trump is a racist” card induces yawns at this point. As mentioned, his popularity with minority voters has slowly increased.
Trump’s treatment of women pales in comparison to lothario-in-chief Bill Clinton, who was the target of multiple sexual assault claims.
The Clintons were prepared to destroy Monica Lewinsky’s credibility, but her decision to keep her dress saved her from an endless barrage of smears calling her a liar.
Finally, Trump is attempting to undo the damage Barack Obama and other Democrats have done to the Constitution.
Trump is trying to roll back the bloated administrative state, and he’s appointed two solid constitutionalists for the Supreme Court.
In the left’s mind, democracy means, “break the rules until you get what you want.”
As a response to Trump picking to justices, Democrats have seriously floated the idea of packing the Supreme Court with additional judges when they reclaim the White House.
Barack Obama got two Supreme Court picks. If conservatives threatened to pack the court, Democrats would be rioting in the streets.
But when Democrats do it, they’re saving Democracy.
This blatant hypocrisy is encapsulated in an old saying about socialism:
“What’s mine is mine. What’s yours, we share.”
