Late night television hosts have been cracking jokes and roasting Presidents for decades.
Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Seth Myers, and Conan O’Brien have all berated Donald Trump, however, more so since he took the oath on January 20th.
But one late night host has found himself under major fire after cracking a vile joke about Vladimir Putin and President Trump.
Breitbart reported:
“Stephen Colbert has come under fire on social media for a crude joke he made about President Donald Trump on Monday’s broadcast of The Late Show that some critics claimed was bigoted and homophobic.
While attempting to defend his CBS colleague John Dickerson, Colbert said Trump’s mouth is only ‘good for is being Vladimir Putin’s c*ck holster.’
Outraged by the remark, social media users quickly made the hashtag #FireColbert a top trending topic on Twitter Tuesday.”
This tweet has a poorly photo-shopped picture of Trump’s tweet, nevertheless, it gets the message across.
#FireColbert Colbert is a homophobe/bigot. Here’s all of his/CBS advertisers Contact them tell them stop funding him https://t.co/6cqyMtIxSu pic.twitter.com/Dx6mrhbvrf

Former CO GOP House Majority Whip also commented on the joke.
Hey @CBS #StephenColbert is NOT a comic. I NEVER tune in because of his hate-filled attitude towards @POTUS @realDonaldTrump #FireColbert

And this tweet excellently points out the double standard and rampant liberal hypocrisy existing on all major networks.
#firecolbert CBS STAND UP AND DO THE RIGHT THING FIRE COLBERT THIS SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED,IF IT WAS SAID ABOUT OBAMA HE WOULD BE GONE

And while Sean Hannity somewhat surprisingly disagreed with the #FireColbert movement, he did attack Colbert’s problematic character.
Breitbart reported:
I will NOT support #FireColbert. I am vs ALL BOYCOTTS. He is a horrible human being, but if u don’t like him change the channel.

So the obvious question now is, where do we draw the line?
While a vulgar joke that denigrates a duly elected President might not necessarily be grounds for termination, when you realize that had Colbert made the same joke about a sitting President Obama, you can bet the house he would’ve been immediately stripped of his position.
