Piers Morgan is a pro-Trump British journalist.
He once had a talk show on CNN, but it was short-lived because the network didn’t like his conservative views.
Now the British journalist just destroyed an anti-Trump talk show host with one tweet.
Morgan was the host of CNN’s Piers Morgan Live from 2011-2014, which was in the coveted time slot of Larry King Livepost-retirement.
His show started out hot and heavy, tripling King’s ratings.
But after his respectable start, his ultimate failing ratings came when he was hard on the Hollywood elites.
After cancellation, Morgan went back to Britain where he became the editor director of First News.
John Oliver of Last Week Tonight is another British journalist with a hit show on HBO.
The liberal show has become a cesspool for Trump bashing since he became president and the leftists eat it up.
In his latest episode, Oliver had a segment where he, again, bashed Trump’s foreign policies and then proceeded to speak about America as if he was a citizen himself.
Oliver used pronouns like, “we” and “us”.
And that’s when Morgan called out Oliver on Twitter.
Breitbart reports:
“British media star Piers Morgan lashed out at Last Week Tonight host John Oliver in a searing tweet on Sunday, calling the HBO funnyman a “shameless old fraud” for attempting to speak on behalf of Americans as if he were one in the wake of the deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Watching John Oliver repeatedly say ‘we’ & ‘us’ when discussing America is comical.
Mate, you were born in the Midlands to a pair of Liverpudlian parents & speak in a thick Brummie accent.
You’re about as American as cricket & mushy peas, you shameless old fraud! pic.twitter.com/1Ay6hJhJhy— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 19, 2018
Oliver praised Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students who appeared on TV and spoke out in support of gun control after shooter Nikolas Cruz committed mass murder.
“These [school shooting] events are so familiar, you now automatically know how each side will play out: ‘Thoughts and prayers,’ ‘F–k your thoughts and prayers,’ ‘It’s a mental health problem,’ ‘Yeah, but it’s also a gun problem’ and then someone says ‘Now’s not the time to talk about gun control,’ and everyone moves on until it inevitably happens again,” Oliver said on Last Week Tonight on Sunday.
“But this time felt slightly different, because when the ‘Now’s not the time’ argument came out, the kids from that school said, ‘You know what? Yes it f–king is,’” added Oliver, who spent years chastising Americans as a writer and correspondent on Comedy Central’s left-wing series The Daily Show.”
The message of Oliver’s segment was that Trump is embarrassing to “us.”
But who exactly is “us” in this equation?
