The athletic world is rife with self-righteous arrogance.
Athletes like to point out how no one understands what it’s like to live a day of their rich lives.
But one NBA great just did one of the most unbelievably egocentric things in the wake of his personal milestone.
The 30,000-point club in the NBA is an exclusive list that includes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Dirk Nowitzki and as of this week, LeBron James.
James has already established himself as one of the all-time greats and depending on whom you ask, they’ll argue he has already surpassed Michael Jordan.
But although James is undeniably great at basketball, he also has a God-complex.
He’s never short on confidence and egocentrism.
You can point to the time when he became a villain – ditching his hometown of Cleveland in a self-serving hour-long announcement for the Miami Heat.
But if you thought that was arrogant, this self-congratulatory message to himself on the eve of becoming the 7th player to reach 30,000 points will blow your mind.

James received a massive amount of blowback for that message to his younger self.
Even his diehard fans were shaking their heads over this pretentious move.
