Hollywood despises Fox News because it’s the only mainstream news network that cuts through the liberal hogwash.
Back in January, Fox News set a new milestone by becoming the most-watched news network for 16 years straight.
But some of Fox’s top television producers are fed up about that and might do something insanely drastic.
Fox News has an incredible knack for getting under all the liberals skin.
They report the stories and facts they don’t want to hear because it conflicts with the love-narrative they have for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
However, two of Fox’s biggest television producers, Seth MacFarlane and Steve Levitan, have aggressively come out against Fox News in the last couple of days on Twitter.
MacFarlane is Fox’s biggest cash cow as the mind behind Family Guy, The Orville and American Dad, some of the most gigantic moneymakers for the network. Family Guy is about to start its 17th season, and American Dad just finished its 13th..
That should give you an idea of how powerful a producer MacFarlane is.
But the Family Guy creator went on Twitter recently and confessed he was “embarrassed” to be employed by the network.
In other words, don’t think critically, don’t consult multiple news sources, and in general, don’t use your brain. Just blindly obey Fox News. This is fringe shit, and it’s business like this that makes me embarrassed to work for this company. https://t.co/kC7MPYxdgZ

Steve Levitan – known for Modern Family, LA to Vegas, Greg The Bunny and Just Shoot Me! – also supported MacFarlane’s statement about working for 20th Century Fox.
Fox Studio has been a wonderful home for most of my career – so many amazing people there who share the concerns about @FoxNews but aren’t in the position to speak out.

I have no problem with fact-based conservatism (such as WSJ), but @FoxNew’s 23-hour-a-day support of the NRA, conspiracy theories and Trump’s lies gets harder to swallow every day as I drive onto that lot to make a show about inclusion.

I look forward to seeing #ModernFamily through to the end and then, sale or no sale, setting up shop elsewhere.

Modern Family is Levitan’s most successful show and also one of Fox’s biggest hits of the last ten years (it’s important to note that although Modern Family airs on ABC, the show is actually produced by 20th Century Fox. This is actually fairly common that studios produce/finance projects that air on other networks).
After his tweets, Levitan told the New York Times that he thanked Fox executives for treating him “so well for two decades.”
But the problem for MacFarlane and Levitan is that their shows are owned by 20th Century Fox.
So if these two thought they would take their shows with them to another network, they’re in for a legal battle they will surely lose.
Another irate Hollywood liberal is actor Adam Scott, who is known for Parks & Recreation and Step Brothers, but now stars in Fox’s new show, Ghosted, which was just renewed for a second season.
Scott followed Levitan and MacFarlane’s lead with his disgust for Fox News as well.
As a FOX employee I’m disgusted by @FoxNews and their support for & blatant lying about state-sponsored child abuse. https://t.co/r6gkqHQDzq

But this could all be smoke and mirrors.
A June 13thNew York Times article reports that Comcast announced an offer for $65 billion for the majority stake in 21st Century Fox, which Disney has been trying to buy for years.
Do you think it’s a coincidence that these producers and actors are speaking up at the particular moment that Rupert Murdoch – the CEO who signs their checks – is trying to sell 21st Century studio while keeping Fox News?
Everyone had been waiting on a judge to rule on the merger between AT&T and Time Warner and now that it’s been allowed, this makes 21st Century Fox up for being sold to the highest bidder.
So they’re only speaking out now because they know their boss won’t be Rupert Murdoch for much longer.
